Today marks the start of National Small Business Week (May 5-11), and ScaleFactor is celebrating in a big way. As a company, we are dedicated to serving small businesses 365 days a year. We recognize the power of small business, and our mission has always been to make managing the back office easier on business owners so that they can get back to the work they love.
We try to live out this mission every day by providing a software solution that meets the needs of small business owners and gives them some of their time back. This week especially, we also want to take some time to express our gratitude to small businesses.
The Power of SMBs
Anyone who has started a business knows that there is nothing small about any part of the process. In the United States, small businesses are a powerful force, responsible for the vast majority of new jobs. And with over 28 million small businesses in the U.S., the odds are high that each of us knows at least one small business owner or someone who is employed by one.
Small businesses are all around us. We rely on them for everything from our morning coffee and keeping our cars running to creating the artwork we hang on our walls. They are the driving force behind the U.S. economy, and we are lucky enough to see their efforts first-hand.
Small business didn’t become the powerful force that it is without the significant hustle of business owners. It comes as no surprise that business owners work significantly more hours than the average employed worker. They make sacrifices every day, taking risks and working long hours, to share their products and services with the world.
National Small Business Week
In honor of small businesses, the Small Business Administration (SBA) introduced National Small Business Week in 1963. The mission of the SBA is to provide small businesses with useful resources, and National Small Business Week not only hands out awards to business owners but also organizes educational events across the country.
We’ve decided to get in on the celebration this year for one main reason. Working with small businesses every day, we know how much weight is on their shoulders, and we want to continue to play a small role in lightening the load.
To our customers, I say thank you. Thank you for the work you do every day. Thank you for the hustle you put into growing your business. Your work educates, helps, entertains, and delights us day after day. Thank you for trusting ScaleFactor to play a role in how you run your business.
We’ll be visiting some of our customers this week to thank them in person, and we’re reaching out to our customers across the country to say thank you. Follow along with us on social media to see what we’re up to.
